The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain high standards of cleanliness across the school, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role plays a vital part in supporting the school’s mission and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal spaces
- Vacuum, mop, and dust regularly to ensure a tidy and hygienic environment
- Clean and disinfect sinks, surfaces, and touch points throughout the school
- Refill supplies, empty bins, and manage waste disposal efficiently
- Ensure hygiene standards are met in toilet areas and other high-traffic zones
- Use cleaning equipment and products safely in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Support the housekeeping team with daily tasks and maintain a positive working attitude
- Work flexible hours, either before school opens or after 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Understanding of health and safety and COSHH regulations
- Physical ability to carry out manual handling tasks
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Preferred
- Previous experience in a school or SEN environment
- Experience with cleaning equipment and products
- Flexibility to work outside of standard hours
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: £10,865.20 - £11,299.75 per year
