Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics across all key stages.
• Support students in developing critical thinking and ethical reasoning skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement engaging and innovative curriculum content.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to the pastoral care and well-being of students.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
• Engage with parents and carers through regular communication and involvement in school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
• Experience in teaching Religion, Philosophy and Ethics at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience teaching ‘A’ Level Sociology or other humanities subjects.
• Experience in a job share or part-time teaching role.
• Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching methods.
