The Opportunity:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive setting. This role is essential in helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally, while working as part of a committed team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs through individual and group activities
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated learning experiences
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and incidents
  • Collaborate with multi-professional teams to support student development
  • Provide care and support for students with complex needs
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Encourage independence and confidence in students through supportive guidance

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above)
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Experience or understanding of supporting students with special educational needs
  • A positive, child-centred approach with strong communication skills

Preferred

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant at Level 2 or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a similar role
