The Opportunity:

As the HR Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the people strategy of a growing organisation. This is a strategic and operational role that will have a direct impact on staff experience and organisational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert, confidential HR guidance to Trust and School Leaders on all HR matters.
  • Support the development of the Trust People Strategy alongside senior executives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and Safer Recruitment practices.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding across all Trust settings.
  • Deliver HR training and develop internal policies, templates, and procedures.
  • Maintain HR systems, records, and documentation to a high professional standard.
  • Lead the central HR function, including issuing contracts and managing HR processes.
  • Ensure consistent, inclusive, and efficient HR practices across all Trust settings.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Proven experience in HR leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality services.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
  • Experience with HR systems and digital tools.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies.
  • Experience with employee engagement and staff development initiatives.
