The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Technician to join our successful Art & Design department. This role offers the chance to support students in developing practical and theoretical skills in Art and Photography. The ideal candidate will inspire students, contribute to extra-curricular activities, and help shape a dynamic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and high-quality Art and Photography lessons.
- Foster creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking among students.
- Assist in the development and delivery of innovative learning experiences.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of extra-curricular art activities.
- Provide guidance and support to students in developing practical and theoretical skills.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for creative learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall Art & Design curriculum.
- Manage and maintain art resources and equipment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in an educational or creative setting.
- Strong knowledge of Art and Photography techniques and practices.
- Ability to support students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student development and creative learning.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or assisting with Art and Design lessons.
- Familiarity with digital art and photography tools.
- Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular art activities.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Art and Design.
