The Opportunity:

As a Personal Assistant to the Principal, you will provide essential administrative and organisational support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of the school and involves managing a varied workload with professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the Headteacher's diary, meetings, and key events
  • Organise business travel, appointments, and high-level meetings, including preparing and distributing documentation
  • Provide professional administrative support for meetings, including comprehensive minute-taking
  • Maintain accurate and secure filing systems, including electronic policy records
  • Liaise with the Governing Body and coordinate meetings and associated documentation
  • Ensure statutory policies are reviewed, maintained, and published in line with requirements
  • Support the organisation of school events such as Open Evenings and Induction Days

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a busy administrative environment
  • Confidence in managing confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent ICT skills, ideally including Office 365 and School MIS
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to supporting the vision, ethos, and values of the Trust

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Experience with educational governance or policy administration
  • Advanced knowledge of administrative software and systems
