The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated Clerk to the Governors and HR Assistant to support the smooth operation of the school's governance and human resources functions. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about contributing to the success of a prestigious educational institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation and administration of Governor and Trustee meetings, including minute-taking and follow-up actions.
  • Assist with the management of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee records.
  • Coordinate communication between the HR team, staff, and senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all HR-related documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for school policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with the school's mission and values.
  • Liaise with external bodies and stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure all HR and governance activities are conducted in line with legal and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a similar administrative or HR support role.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, HR management systems).
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in the education sector, particularly in a school environment.
  • Knowledge of school governance procedures and HR best practices.
  • Experience with managing meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding policies.
