Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning under the supervision of class teachers and senior leadership.
  • Implement Individual Learning Plans for small groups of students.
  • Provide regular feedback on student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in the supervision of discreet groups of pupils when the teacher is not present.
  • Promote equality and ensure all students have equal access to learning opportunities.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance teaching strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in spoken English.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in literacy and numeracy.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and learning.
  • Commitment to professional standards and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with classroom professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken English.

Preferred

  • Experience working with children and young people with communication, severe, profound, or complex learning difficulties.
  • Experience in special educational needs support settings.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational environment.
