Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Humanities disciplines, with a focus on History or Geography.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student achievement and personal growth.
- Implement evidence-based teaching methodologies and continuously seek innovative approaches to learning.
- Support the school’s commitment to the Teach Like a GEM pedagogy and the belief that every student can achieve.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, contributing to the development of the department and the wider school community.
- Promote and support extracurricular activities that enhance student development and well-being.
- Maintain high standards in all aspects of teaching and learning, while working effectively under pressure.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in a Humanities discipline.
- Appropriate teaching degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
- Proven track record of outstanding teaching practice and student achievement.
Preferred
- Experience teaching History or Geography at GCSE or A Level.
- Familiarity with the British curriculum and High-Performance Learning (HPL) framework.
- Strong commitment to extracurricular engagement and student development.
