The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Secondary Art Teacher to inspire creativity and critical thinking in students across Middle School, High School Diploma, and IBDP. This role offers the chance to shape a dynamic visual arts culture and contribute to a supportive, forward-thinking school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Art across Middle School, High School Diploma, and IBDP.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop creativity, technical skill, and critical thinking.
• Inspire students to explore a wide range of artistic media and perspectives.
• Use effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including EAL and high-ability students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources.
• Lead and support extracurricular activities, including exhibitions and art shows.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating studio environment.
• Maintain strong communication with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Education, or a related field with a teaching qualification.
• Valid teaching certification meeting Qatar MOEHE requirements.
• Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience in Art education.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of Art pedagogy and curriculum.
• Experience delivering engaging practical and theoretical Art lessons.
• Ability to lead extracurricular Art programs and support student exhibitions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an international, multicultural environment.

Preferred

• Experience teaching Art at IBDP level.
• Background in developing and delivering creative, student-centered learning experiences.
• Familiarity with American Common Core Standards and international curricula.
