The Opportunity:

A Secondary Music Teacher is needed to deliver high-quality music instruction and inspire a love of music across Middle School and High School Diploma. This role will contribute to both academic and extracurricular life, helping to build a vibrant music culture within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Music across Middle School and High School Diploma
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote creativity, performance, and musical literacy
• Inspire students to develop confidence and a lifelong appreciation for music
• Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and inform teaching
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources
• Lead and support extracurricular music activities, including performances and events
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Maintain strong communication with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Education, or a related field (with teaching qualification)
• Valid teaching certification meeting local requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience in Music education
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of music pedagogy
• Experience delivering practical and theoretical music lessons
• Ability to contribute to performances and extracurricular programs
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in an international, multicultural environment

Preferred

• Experience with the IB Diploma Programme or American curriculum
• Experience teaching in a diverse, multicultural setting
• Leadership experience in extracurricular music activities
