The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a progressive school. This role offers the opportunity to shape young minds in a supportive and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education in a modern and inspiring setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Humanities subjects including RE, Geography, and History at KS3 and KS4.
  • Create and maintain a disciplined and stimulating learning environment.
  • Promote the appreciation and understanding of the subject through engaging and innovative teaching methods.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Contribute to the production of resources and examination papers.
  • Attend and participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Support students’ well-being through form tutoring and pastoral duties.
  • Ensure compliance with external examination requirements and Teachers’ Standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching Humanities subjects.
  • Strong knowledge of examination specifications and curriculum requirements.
  • Ability to manage and motivate students effectively.
  • Commitment to student progress and well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching RE, Geography, and History at both KS3 and KS4.
  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching resources.
  • Involvement in departmental leadership or mentoring programs.
  • Experience with CPD and leadership development initiatives.
