The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced ITT Coordinator with Teaching (Humanities) to lead and coordinate our Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher Induction programme. This role offers the opportunity to shape the development of new teachers while contributing to high-quality teaching and learning in your specialist subject.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and lead the Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher Induction programme, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and high standards of training.
• Mentor and support trainee and early career teachers, fostering their professional development and reflective practice.
• Deliver high-quality teaching in your specialist subject, contributing to student progress and learning outcomes.
• Manage documentation, coordinate training programmes, and meet statutory deadlines effectively.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with ITT providers, mentors, and school leaders.
• Promote a culture of continuous professional development and support for staff.
• Contribute to the school’s professional learning environment and share best practices.
• Reflect on and improve teaching and training practices through regular evaluation and feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant subject specialism in Humanities.
• Experience in teaching and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.
• Strong mentoring, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate training programmes and manage documentation.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Commitment to inclusion, student outcomes, and professional development.

Preferred

• Experience in leading or supporting Initial Teacher Training or Early Career Teacher Induction programmes.
• Experience with National College training or subject-specific CPD.
• Leadership or management experience within education.
• Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Experience with equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
