The Opportunity:
As a Science Teacher with ECT Induction Lead Role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education. You will lead and coordinate the Early Career Teacher Induction programme while delivering high-quality science lessons. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on both new teachers and student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher Induction programme, ensuring high-quality mentoring and professional development.
- Deliver high-quality science lessons to students across a range of year groups.
- Support and develop trainee and early career teachers through mentoring, coaching, and reflective practice.
- Coordinate training programmes, manage documentation, and meet statutory deadlines.
- Build strong relationships with ITT providers, mentors, and school leaders.
- Contribute to the school’s professional learning culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with the school’s values, including inclusion, high expectations, and student progress.
- Participate in and support the school’s CPD and leadership development programmes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science.
- Experience in teaching and a commitment to high-quality learning and teaching.
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate training programmes and manage documentation effectively.
- Experience supporting Early Career Teachers or trainee teachers.
- Commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and student progress.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or coordinating teacher training or induction programmes.
- Experience with Initial Teacher Training providers.
- Leadership or management experience within education.
- Experience with continuous professional development and leadership pathways.
- Experience in delivering CPD or mentoring programmes.
