Key Responsibilities:
- Teach IT and Business at KS3 and KS4, ensuring students make good progress and enjoy their learning.
- Create a disciplined and stimulating environment that promotes student motivation and engagement.
- Monitor and support student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work, assessments, and teaching resources.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings, contributing to policy development and improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with examination requirements and health and safety standards.
- Support the wider school community through form tutoring, extracurricular activities, and parent engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong knowledge of IT and Business curriculum and examination specifications.
- Experience in teaching IT and Business at KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive, disciplined, and engaging learning environment.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in the workplace.
- Commitment to student progress and well-being.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching resources.
- Experience in contributing to examination paper production and marking.
- Experience in leadership or mentoring programs.
- Familiarity with CPD initiatives and professional development opportunities.
