The Opportunity:
As an ITT Coordinator with Teaching, you will lead and coordinate the school's Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher Induction programme, while also teaching within your specialism. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of education and support the professional growth of new teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the Initial Teacher Training and Early Career Teacher Induction programme to ensure high-quality training and development.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and support to trainee and early career teachers to help them become confident and reflective practitioners.
- Teach a subject within your specialism, contributing to the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
- Manage documentation, coordinate training programmes, and meet statutory deadlines efficiently.
- Build strong, positive relationships with ITT providers, mentors, and school leaders.
- Promote a culture of continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and student outcomes.
- Contribute to the school’s professional learning culture and leadership development initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong classroom teaching experience in a relevant subject area (Maths, Science, IT, Business, or Humanities).
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, or supporting trainee or early career teachers.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and inclusive education.
Preferred
- Experience in Initial Teacher Training or Early Career Teacher Induction.
- Leadership or management experience in education.
- Experience with National College training or subject-specific CPD.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
