The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Humanities Teacher to join our A-Level team and make a meaningful impact on students' learning journeys. This role offers the opportunity to shape learners’ progress and deliver high-quality, innovative teaching in History and Politics. You will contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking environment that fosters confidence and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in History and Politics at A-Level.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding academic results and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement innovative learning experiences.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the wider curriculum through enrichment activities and subject-specific initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and reports on student performance and attendance.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
  • Work flexibly across different learning environments and contribute to the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in a relevant subject and a PGCE or CertEd qualification.
  • Level 2 in Maths and English.
  • Recent experience teaching A-Level History and Politics.
  • Strong record of student achievement and progress.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills.
  • Proficient use of IT and Microsoft Office.

Preferred

  • Experience with AQA and wider curriculum understanding.
  • Additional subject or enrichment delivery experience.
  • Level 4 professional subject qualification.
