The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the maths faculty in raising student achievement and standards.
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Maths to ensure the smooth running and development of the department.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the faculty.
• Take a leading role in the development of Key Stage 3 provision and curriculum.
• Inspire and motivate colleagues and students to achieve their full potential.
• Ensure high-quality teaching and learning practices are maintained across the department.
• Support the implementation of school-wide initiatives and policies.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s academic and pastoral strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in maths education.
• Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
• Strong belief in the potential of all students, regardless of background or ability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

• Experience in a senior leadership role within a school.
