Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Use assessment effectively to identify gaps and secure strong progress
  • Contribute to the development of a knowledge-rich, ambitious curriculum
  • Support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEND and other barriers to learning
  • Work collaboratively with the Science team to share best practice and drive improvement
  • Foster curiosity, resilience, and a love of Science in students
  • Implement inclusive teaching strategies that promote high expectations for all learners
  • Reflect on practice and commit to continuous professional development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong subject knowledge in Science
  • Commitment to high expectations and inclusive practice
  • Ability to motivate and engage pupils
  • Experience in using assessment to inform teaching and improve outcomes
  • Reflective, organised, and committed to professional development
  • Willingness to work collaboratively within a team

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in working with students with SEND
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on curriculum development
