Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Use assessment effectively to identify gaps and secure strong progress
- Contribute to the development of a knowledge-rich, ambitious curriculum
- Support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEND and other barriers to learning
- Work collaboratively with the Science team to share best practice and drive improvement
- Foster curiosity, resilience, and a love of Science in students
- Implement inclusive teaching strategies that promote high expectations for all learners
- Reflect on practice and commit to continuous professional development
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong subject knowledge in Science
- Commitment to high expectations and inclusive practice
- Ability to motivate and engage pupils
- Experience in using assessment to inform teaching and improve outcomes
- Reflective, organised, and committed to professional development
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a team
Preferred
- Experience with teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience in working with students with SEND
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on curriculum development
