The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join its growing department. The role involves teaching Geography and other Humanities subjects, with a focus on inspiring students and raising achievement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Geography and other Humanities subjects across key stages 3 and 4
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that promote excellence in teaching and learning
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of learning and curriculum design
  • Support the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Participate in a collegiate coaching programme and staff development initiatives
  • Engage in extra-curricular activities and school events
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise student achievement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS
  • Experience teaching Humanities subjects, including Geography
  • Ability to teach across a range of Humanities subjects
  • Commitment to raising student achievement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to undergo child protection screening

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
  • Familiarity with the school’s curriculum and values
