A school is seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join its growing department. The role involves teaching Geography and other Humanities subjects, with a focus on inspiring students and raising achievement. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Geography and other Humanities subjects across key stages 3 and 4
- Deliver high-quality lessons that promote excellence in teaching and learning
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
- Contribute to the development of schemes of learning and curriculum design
- Support the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Participate in a collegiate coaching programme and staff development initiatives
- Engage in extra-curricular activities and school events
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise student achievement
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS
- Experience teaching Humanities subjects, including Geography
- Ability to teach across a range of Humanities subjects
- Commitment to raising student achievement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to undergo child protection screening
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities
- Experience with pastoral care and student support
- Familiarity with the school’s curriculum and values
