The Opportunity:

As an IB Biology Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to students in Grades 8 to 12. You will contribute to curriculum development and support a learning environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and international mindedness. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative IB DP Biology lessons to Grades 10 to 12, and support teaching in Grades 8 and above.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the science curriculum and pedagogical approaches.
  • Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback to support learning and achievement.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, respect, and academic excellence.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the professional development of the science department.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with parents and students.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the IB Biology curriculum and incorporate best practices into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A university degree and a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Science teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB Biology curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Ability to teach in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Valid visa status for China and willingness to comply with all immigration requirements.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching IB DP Biology at the secondary level.
  • Background in blended or technology-enhanced learning.
  • Experience with curriculum development and leadership in a school setting.
  • Fluency in additional languages, such as Spanish or French.
  • Demonstrated success in student engagement and academic outcomes.
