Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality music lessons aligned with the school’s Secondary curriculum.
  • Ensure effective planning, preparation, and assessment that meets the needs of all students.
  • Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and discussion.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Performing Arts department to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the school and its music program.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated learning strategies and individualized instruction.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote student success and school values.
  • Utilize global partnerships and resources to enhance teaching and inspire students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher status with a minimum of three to four years teaching experience in Secondary Music.
  • Holding a PGCE, QTS, or nationally recognized teaching license.
  • A degree in a music-related subject.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching IBDP or A-level music.
  • Familiarity with international curricula and teaching methodologies.
  • Experience working in a multicultural and international school environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
