Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative ICT and Business Studies lessons to students aged 11-16.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the ICT and Business Studies curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Support student progression through effective assessment, feedback, and personalized learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning across the school.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and events that promote student engagement and school culture.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in ICT and Business Studies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in ICT and Business Studies.
  • Experience in teaching ICT and Business Studies at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities where appropriate.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching ICT and Business Studies.
  • Experience in using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
