As an ICT Support Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the school's ICT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first line ICT support, with the potential to offer second line support based on experience and qualifications.
  • Assist with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of hardware and software across the school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement and improve ICT systems and processes.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Document and track all support requests and resolutions in line with school procedures.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in ICT and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Support the school’s commitment to using technology to enhance the learning experience for pupils and staff.
  • Occasionally travel to other sites within the group of schools as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong knowledge of general hardware and software.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in an ICT support role or similar.
  • Problem-solving skills and a commitment to making a positive impact on the school community.

Preferred

  • Experience with educational technology and learning platforms.
  • Familiarity with virtual learning environments and online teaching tools.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure and security practices.
