The Opportunity:

An ICT Teacher is needed to deliver engaging lessons in ICT and Computing for students in Grades 1–6. The role involves introducing programming concepts, developing digital literacy, and supporting transdisciplinary learning. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact in a forward-thinking educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate ICT and Computing lessons in English for students in Grades 1–6;
  • Introduce foundational programming concepts using visual languages such as ScratchJr, Scratch, and Blockly;
  • Develop students’ digital literacy, including typing, online research, multimedia creation, and internet safety;
  • Integrate technology into transdisciplinary units and support classroom teachers with digital tools;
  • Manage and maintain ICT resources including iPads, Chromebooks, robotics kits, and interactive whiteboards;
  • Lead at least one after-school club or CCA related to technology, coding, or robotics;
  • Communicate regularly with homeroom teachers and parents regarding student progress;
  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Primary Education, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field;
  • Valid teaching license (QTS / State License) or PGCE certificate (Primary specialization preferred);
  • Minimum 3 years of full-time teaching experience at the primary level.

Preferred

  • Experience with IPC, or Cambridge Primary curriculum;
  • Familiarity with primary-level robotics tools (Bee-Bot, LEGO Education, Micro:bit), creative digital media (iMovie, GarageBand, Canva), and adaptive learning platforms.
