The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Science lessons for KS3 students, with potential to teach IGCSE Science.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student curiosity and scientific inquiry.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress and provide targeted feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Science department to develop curriculum resources and share best practices.
  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Support the school’s extracurricular programs, such as Science clubs, competitions, or STEM projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching Science within the British curriculum, preferably at KS3 and IGCSE levels.
  • Familiarity with IGCSE Science syllabi (e.g., Cambridge or Edexcel).
  • Excellent command of English (both written and spoken).
