The Opportunity:
A Science Teacher is needed to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for KS3 students, with the potential to teach IGCSE Science. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student learning and contribute to a dynamic, forward-thinking institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Science lessons for KS3 students, with potential to teach IGCSE Science.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student curiosity and scientific inquiry.
- Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress and provide targeted feedback.
- Collaborate with the Science department to develop curriculum resources and share best practices.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development activities.
- Support the school’s extracurricular programs, such as Science clubs, competitions, or STEM projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching Science within the British curriculum, preferably at KS3 and IGCSE levels.
- Familiarity with IGCSE Science syllabi (e.g., Cambridge or Edexcel).
- Excellent command of English (both written and spoken).
