The Opportunity:

A Junior School Class Teacher is needed to deliver high-quality education to students aged 5 to 11 in a dynamic and supportive environment. This role is integral to fostering a stimulating and inquiry-based learning experience that aligns with the IB Primary Years Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a comprehensive and integrated curriculum across the Primary age range.
  • Foster a caring and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and academic progress.
  • Collaborate with the PYP Coordinator and other staff to support curriculum development and pedagogical excellence.
  • Work closely with a teaching assistant to support student learning and manage classroom responsibilities.
  • Organise and contribute to special events, performances, and displays across the grade.
  • Support the pastoral care of students and contribute to the school's extra-curricular activities.
  • Ensure the effective use of state-of-the-art facilities and resources to enhance student learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
  • Proven ability to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and academic achievement.
  • Experience in working with students aged 5 to 11.

Preferred

  • Previous experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
