The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Junior School Teacher to cover maternity leave on a fixed-term basis. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners while working within a progressive and supportive educational environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Support the academic progress, behaviour, and welfare of students in line with school values.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Junior School and other staff members to maintain a consistent and enriching learning experience.
  • Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Maintain accurate records and report regularly on student progress.
  • Uphold the school’s values, including respect, cooperation, and creativity, in all interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student welfare.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching in a mixed, all-through school setting.
  • Familiarity with creative and performing arts curricula.
  • Experience in a boarding or independent school environment.
  • Flexibility to take on different year groups and classes as required.
