The Opportunity:

As a Catering Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the catering department by ensuring a clean, welcoming environment for students, staff, and guests. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team that values quality service and fresh, healthy meals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clearing and cleaning trays from trolleys
• Ensuring all equipment is clean and stored correctly
• Cleaning dining hall, tables, work surfaces, and floors
• Washing and drying cutlery, crockery, and trays
• Serving food efficiently and engagingly to students, staff, and the wider community
• Removing and emptying refuse from all front of house areas

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in a catering or hospitality environment
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
• Flexibility to work 5 days per week, 12:00 – 19:45, term time + 6 weeks

Preferred

• Previous experience in a school or educational setting
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in food service
• Experience with food preparation or service
