The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to support students from Key Stage 3, with the possibility of teaching A Level Maths. The ideal candidate will help students build confidence and a strong foundation in Mathematics. This is a permanent role starting in September 2026, with the option of full-time or part-time employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics to students from Key Stage 3, with the potential to deliver A Level content.
- Support students in developing confidence and a deep understanding of Mathematics.
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
- Participate in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted support where needed.
- Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and pedagogy.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student development and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A Level Mathematics and/or Further Mathematics.
- Familiarity with a range of teaching methodologies and technologies.
- Experience in a school with a similar ethos and values.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
