The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to support students from Key Stage 3, with the possibility of teaching A Level Maths. The ideal candidate will help students build confidence and a strong foundation in Mathematics. This is a permanent role starting in September 2026, with the option of full-time or part-time employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics to students from Key Stage 3, with the potential to deliver A Level content.
  • Support students in developing confidence and a deep understanding of Mathematics.
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted support where needed.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and pedagogy.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student development and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level Mathematics and/or Further Mathematics.
  • Familiarity with a range of teaching methodologies and technologies.
  • Experience in a school with a similar ethos and values.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
