Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics to pupils across key stages 3 and 4, including those of all abilities.
- Act as a form tutor and contribute to the wider life of the school through clubs and extra-curricular activities.
- Create a stimulating and engaging learning environment that encourages achievement.
- Support and mentor students, providing guidance and fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and effective teaching strategies.
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ensure all lessons are well-structured, relevant, and aligned with the National Curriculum.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at key stages 3 and 4.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and academic success.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching girls’ education.
- Experience with extra-curricular activities or pastoral care.
- Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong desire for professional development.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and best practices in Mathematics education.
