Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics to pupils across key stages 3 and 4, including those of all abilities.
  • Act as a form tutor and contribute to the wider life of the school through clubs and extra-curricular activities.
  • Create a stimulating and engaging learning environment that encourages achievement.
  • Support and mentor students, providing guidance and fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and effective teaching strategies.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensure all lessons are well-structured, relevant, and aligned with the National Curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at key stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and academic success.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching girls’ education.
  • Experience with extra-curricular activities or pastoral care.
  • Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong desire for professional development.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and best practices in Mathematics education.
