The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Key Stage Lead Teacher - Spanish and French to join a dynamic and ambitious department. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development, while working within a supportive and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum.
  • Support students of all abilities in achieving their full potential in Spanish and French.
  • Collaborate with the department to share best practice and improve student outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of the Modern Foreign Languages department and its strategic goals.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Head of Department to ensure the continued success of the MFL team.
  • Engage with students in a way that fosters a love of language learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Spanish and French.
  • Experience working with Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Spanish and French.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching French at Key Stage 4.
  • Experience with Carousel Learning or similar homework systems.
  • Experience in supporting ECTs or new teachers.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
