The Opportunity:

A Spanish Teacher is needed to join a dynamic and ambitious Modern Foreign Languages department. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student learning and development across Key Stages 3 to 5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Spanish lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies to inspire a love of language learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Modern Foreign Languages department to share best practice and improve student outcomes.
  • Support students of all abilities, ensuring inclusive and differentiated instruction.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and extracurricular activities related to languages.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and ongoing training.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote language learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree in Spanish or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Spanish at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Key Stage 5 Spanish.
  • Experience with French as a second language.
  • Experience in using digital tools for language teaching.
  • Leadership experience or potential within a department.
