The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS2 Maths Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis, working mornings only. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant and innovative learning community, where the focus is on nurturing young minds and preparing them for future success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality maths lessons that engage and challenge pupils across Key Stage 2.
- Prepare and implement effective teaching strategies that support the school’s vision and curriculum goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support individual development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in events, extracurricular activities, and professional development.
- Support pupils in preparing for 11+ exams where applicable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupil performance and attendance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching maths at Key Stage 2.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
- Experience working in a school setting, ideally in a preparatory school.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience of preparing pupils for 11+ exams.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in a co-educational setting.
