The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS2 Maths Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis, working mornings only. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that engage and challenge pupils across Key Stage 2.
  • Prepare and implement effective teaching strategies that support the school’s vision and curriculum goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support individual development.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in events, extracurricular activities, and professional development.
  • Support pupils in preparing for 11+ exams where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupil performance and attendance.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching maths at Key Stage 2.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience working in a school setting, ideally in a preparatory school.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience of preparing pupils for 11+ exams.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in a co-educational setting.
