Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students aged 11-18 in a virtual classroom setting.
• Create and collate engaging online learning resources that align with curriculum requirements.
• Support students with SEND and mental health challenges through tailored strategies.
• Apply a range of teaching approaches to maximize learning outcomes in an online environment.
• Engage students from diverse backgrounds and ensure inclusivity in all lessons.
• Use technology effectively to enhance student engagement and learning experiences.
• Participate in mentoring and pastoral support activities as part of the role.
• Stay up to date with assessment requirements and implement assessment for learning strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching the secondary age range (11-18).
• Experience teaching groups of students in a virtual classroom.
• Strong diagnostic ability and a passion for guiding student learning.
• Understanding of assessment requirements and principles of assessment for learning.
• Commitment to supporting students with SEND and mental health difficulties.
• Experience with flipped learning and online teaching methodologies.

Preferred

• Experience teaching Maths at GCSE and A Level.
• Knowledge of Edexcel International GCSE or A-level CIE specifications.
• Proven experience of using technology innovatively in online teaching.
• Experience creating highly engaging learning content for online delivery.
