The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Headteacher to help lead and shape a school that is driven by the belief that every pupil deserves an exceptional education. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Implement and monitor strategic initiatives that promote inclusion and diversity.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning, including two days of teaching per week.
  • Support and lead in the development of restorative and relational approaches to behaviour management.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and stakeholders through presentations and meetings.
  • Demonstrate evidence-informed decision-making in all areas of school leadership.
  • Inspire and motivate both staff and students to achieve excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team to drive whole-school improvement and innovation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a primary school setting.
  • Strong commitment to inclusion, diversity, and the promotion of high standards in teaching and learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teaching and learning across a school.
  • Experience in restorative and relational approaches to behaviour management.
  • Confident public speaker with experience in presenting to a range of stakeholders.
  • Evidence-informed approach to decision-making and school improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in strategic planning and school development.
  • Background in leading whole-school improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with oracy, metacognition, and assessment for learning.
  • Experience in supporting school inclusion and wellbeing initiatives.
