The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students and teachers, helping to create an inclusive learning environment. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students through personalized support and active engagement in the teaching process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in implementing planned learning activities and monitoring student progress.
- Assist in developing and maintaining individualized support plans for students, including One Page Profiles and EHCPs.
- Provide academic and welfare support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEND) and English as an additional language (EAL).
- Support students with social and emotional well-being, including assistance with personal care where necessary.
- Provide cover and support in intervention settings such as the Bridge and PLC.
- Assist with supervision during educational visits and invigilate formal examinations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working in a school environment or with children and young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using standard ICT packages, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow data protection regulations.
- Willingness to complete necessary training to support students’ needs.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with children with special needs or challenging behaviors.
- Experience in intervention management or student support planning.
