The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students and teachers, helping to create an inclusive learning environment. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students through personalized support and active engagement in the teaching process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in implementing planned learning activities and monitoring student progress.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining individualized support plans for students, including One Page Profiles and EHCPs.
  • Provide academic and welfare support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEND) and English as an additional language (EAL).
  • Support students with social and emotional well-being, including assistance with personal care where necessary.
  • Provide cover and support in intervention settings such as the Bridge and PLC.
  • Assist with supervision during educational visits and invigilate formal examinations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working in a school environment or with children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using standard ICT packages, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow data protection regulations.
  • Willingness to complete necessary training to support students’ needs.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working with children with special needs or challenging behaviors.
  • Experience in intervention management or student support planning.
