The Opportunity:
As a KS5 Phase Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the academic and pastoral experiences of students in Key Stage 5. This is a senior middle leadership role that requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and a passion for student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support student progress, attainment, attendance, and wellbeing across KS5.
- Analyse data to evaluate outcomes, inform decisions, and report to senior leadership.
- Lead and mentor tutors and Heads of Year, ensuring high standards of teaching and pastoral care.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment opportunities, and character education development.
- Implement and oversee quality assurance procedures, including lesson observations and homework monitoring.
- Set and monitor challenging targets for the phase, and plan interventions where necessary.
- Support staff development, performance management, and professional learning within the phase.
- Organise and manage reporting, parents’ evenings, and celebration assemblies to engage students and families.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
- Strong ability to manage and motivate a team of staff and students.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a year group or phase.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and enrichment opportunities.
- Experience in pastoral care and student wellbeing support.
- Familiarity with quality assurance and performance management processes.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £31,671 to £43,636 per annum, plus TLR.
