The Opportunity:
As a KS4 Phase Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in driving academic and pastoral development for students in this key phase of learning. This is a leadership position that requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and a passion for education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the academic and pastoral development of students within the KS4 phase.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the school improvement plan.
- Act as Head of Year for one year group within the phase, providing pastoral leadership and support.
- Foster a culture of continuous professional development and improvement among staff.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a positive learning environment.
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning, demonstrating punctuality, professionalism, and commitment to school values.
- Motivate and support staff to maintain effective working relationships and achieve school objectives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to drive progress and excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
- Experience in teaching and supporting students in the KS4 phase.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a year group or pastoral team.
- Familiarity with school improvement planning and strategic development.
- Experience in a co-educational independent school environment.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
