The Opportunity:

As a KS4 Phase Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in driving academic and pastoral development for students in this key phase of learning. This is a leadership position that requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and a passion for education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the academic and pastoral development of students within the KS4 phase.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the school improvement plan.
  • Act as Head of Year for one year group within the phase, providing pastoral leadership and support.
  • Foster a culture of continuous professional development and improvement among staff.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a positive learning environment.
  • Ensure high standards of teaching and learning, demonstrating punctuality, professionalism, and commitment to school values.
  • Motivate and support staff to maintain effective working relationships and achieve school objectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to drive progress and excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  • Experience in teaching and supporting students in the KS4 phase.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a year group or pastoral team.
  • Familiarity with school improvement planning and strategic development.
  • Experience in a co-educational independent school environment.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
