The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic LAMDA Teacher - Public Speaking to join a vibrant Drama Department. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction, preparing students for LAMDA examinations, and contributing to the school’s performing arts program. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging LAMDA courses tailored to students’ needs.
  • Prepare students for LAMDA examinations and provide individualised support.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Drama to plan and schedule lessons.
  • Promote LAMDA to parents and students through marketing and outreach.
  • Support the Drama Department by running workshops and assisting with school performances.
  • Create educational resources that enhance the LAMDA learning experience.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and confidence.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure alignment with the school’s academic and creative goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in LAMDA or public speaking instruction.
  • Strong knowledge of LAMDA syllabi and examination requirements.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality drama and public speaking lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with students aged 11-18.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or resource creation.
  • Background in drama or performing arts education.
  • Familiarity with the English National Curriculum.
  • Experience with public speaking or performance coaching.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
