Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that support student achievement at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote high standards of learning and attainment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback to support individual growth.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extra-curricular activities and events.
  • Ensure the safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing and engagement.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A high-quality degree in Chemistry
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience of delivering outstanding teaching at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Strong record of student achievement and progression
  • Ability to lead and inspire students and colleagues
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Adaptability to work in a multicultural and international environment

Preferred

  • Experience with the National Curriculum for England
  • Background in delivering GCSE and A Level courses
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
  • Strong leadership and team-working skills
  • Experience in extra-curricular or pastoral roles
