The Opportunity:

As a Lead Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in raising standards of teaching and learning across the Mathematics curriculum. This is a leadership position that requires a passionate, experienced teacher with a commitment to student success and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of effective teaching and learning strategies
  • Lead on intervention strategies to improve attainment and progress
  • Monitor curriculum delivery, planning, and student outcomes
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Ensure high standards of assessment, recording, and reporting
  • Deputise for the Curriculum Leader where required
  • Support the strategic development of the Maths curriculum
  • Contribute to school improvement priorities and self-evaluation

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching Mathematics in the 11–16 phase
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to raise student achievement
  • Commitment to inclusion and student success
  • Experience in leading and supporting colleagues

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and leadership
  • Experience in delivering high-quality CPD and professional development
  • Experience in school improvement and self-evaluation
  • Experience with enrichment and extracurricular activities
