The Opportunity:
As a Lead Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in raising standards of teaching and learning across the Mathematics curriculum. This is a leadership position that requires a passionate, experienced teacher with a commitment to student success and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of effective teaching and learning strategies
- Lead on intervention strategies to improve attainment and progress
- Monitor curriculum delivery, planning, and student outcomes
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Ensure high standards of assessment, recording, and reporting
- Deputise for the Curriculum Leader where required
- Support the strategic development of the Maths curriculum
- Contribute to school improvement priorities and self-evaluation
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching Mathematics in the 11–16 phase
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to raise student achievement
- Commitment to inclusion and student success
- Experience in leading and supporting colleagues
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and leadership
- Experience in delivering high-quality CPD and professional development
- Experience in school improvement and self-evaluation
- Experience with enrichment and extracurricular activities
