The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a strong department and make a meaningful impact on student learning. This role is ideal for ECTs/RQTs and offers a supportive environment for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback.
- Participate in staff development and training programs.
- Contribute to the school’s continued improvement and expansion initiatives.
- Uphold the school’s values and maintain high standards of behavior and discipline.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
- Experience of teaching English at KS3, KS4, and KS5 levels.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
- Experience in a school undergoing expansion or development projects.
- Leadership or mentoring experience.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
