Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement high-quality maths teaching strategies across the department.
- Support and mentor colleagues in improving pedagogical practices and student outcomes.
- Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and support student achievement.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards and student needs.
- Coordinate and lead extra-curricular maths activities to enhance student engagement and interest.
- Work closely with the Head of Department and senior staff to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development of school-wide policies and initiatives related to maths education.
- Ensure all students receive the support they need to achieve their full potential.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in maths education.
- Experience in a leadership or coaching role within a school setting.
- Strong understanding of maths pedagogy and curriculum development.
- Ability to analyse and interpret student performance data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in instructional coaching or leadership training.
- Familiarity with maths-based extra-curricular activities.
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational partnership.
- Strong track record in improving student outcomes and raising standards.
