Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality maths teaching strategies across the department.
  • Support and mentor colleagues in improving pedagogical practices and student outcomes.
  • Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and support student achievement.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards and student needs.
  • Coordinate and lead extra-curricular maths activities to enhance student engagement and interest.
  • Work closely with the Head of Department and senior staff to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of school-wide policies and initiatives related to maths education.
  • Ensure all students receive the support they need to achieve their full potential.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in maths education.
  • Experience in a leadership or coaching role within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of maths pedagogy and curriculum development.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret student performance data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience in instructional coaching or leadership training.
  • Familiarity with maths-based extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational partnership.
  • Strong track record in improving student outcomes and raising standards.
