The Opportunity:

As a Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality sports coaching and contributing to the development of the school’s sporting programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced coach to make a lasting impact on students’ lives through sport and boarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality coaching in Rugby Union, Cricket, Hockey, and Netball.
  • Support the development of the school’s sporting programme and enhance the department’s reputation.
  • Assist with the organisation and delivery of the PE curriculum and co-curricular activities.
  • Manage fixtures, transport, and catering for major sports events.
  • Provide supervision and recreational activities in the sports centre one evening per week.
  • Support the boarding house by supervising students and contributing to house activities and competitions.
  • Assist with the administration and delivery of the co-curricular programme and boarding duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in playing and/or coaching a variety of sports, including Rugby Union, Cricket, Hockey, and Netball.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Willingness to live in school accommodation during term time.

Preferred

  • Experience in a boarding school or similar educational setting.
  • Background in teaching or coaching at a senior level.
  • Knowledge of curriculum delivery and assessment in PE.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student welfare.
