Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience across the school.
  • Lead and contribute to the development of reading and literacy initiatives, where applicable.

  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to student-centred learning and inclusive education.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Experience in working within a school or multi-academy trust environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading reading and literacy initiatives.
  • Familiarity with current educational trends and best practices in English teaching.
  • Experience in delivering CPD or mentoring other teachers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for lifelong learning and professional development.
