The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and visionary Lead Practitioner in Maths to join our team and help shape the future of maths education. This is an exciting opportunity to lead teaching and learning, inspire colleagues, and make a meaningful impact on student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons that model excellent practice and ensure consistent delivery of outstanding teaching.
- Support and mentor colleagues to improve teaching and learning through coaching and professional development.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement policies that drive school improvement.
- Conduct research into best practices and innovative curricular approaches to inform teaching and learning.
- Develop and evaluate high-quality teaching resources and schemes of learning.
- Take a lead role in evaluating and improving maths provision across the school.
- Engage with external partners and support networks to enhance maths education.
- Promote a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement in maths teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching maths at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong leadership potential with the ability to support and develop colleagues.
- A commitment to high standards and student achievement.
- Excellent classroom practice and a track record of success in maths education.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and colleagues.
Preferred
- Experience in leading teaching and learning in maths.
- Experience with curriculum development and research in maths education.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
