Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons that model excellent practice and ensure consistent delivery of outstanding teaching.
• Support and mentor colleagues to improve teaching and learning through coaching and professional development.
• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement policies that drive school improvement.
• Conduct research into best practices and innovative curricular approaches to inform teaching and learning.
• Develop and evaluate high-quality teaching resources and schemes of learning.
• Take a lead role in evaluating and improving maths provision across the school.
• Engage with external partners and support networks to enhance maths education.
• Promote a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement in maths teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in teaching maths at KS3 and KS4.
• Strong leadership potential with the ability to support and develop colleagues.
• A commitment to high standards and student achievement.
• Excellent classroom practice and a track record of success in maths education.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and colleagues.

Preferred

• Experience in leading teaching and learning in maths.
• Experience with curriculum development and research in maths education.
• Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
• Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
