The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PSHE Teacher to join our dynamic department and support students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. This role offers the chance to lead new initiatives and contribute to the school’s thriving extra-curricular programmes, making a real difference in student well-being and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PSHE lessons that engage and inspire students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Support the development and implementation of new PSHE initiatives and curriculum enhancements.
  • Lead and manage extra-curricular activities, including the “Change Your Mind” ambassadors programme.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and impactful PSHE programme across the school.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, promoting positive mental health and well-being.
  • Work with senior leaders to ensure alignment with the school’s vision and educational goals.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed.
  • Contribute to staff development and training within the PSHE department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant PSHE experience.
  • Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative in new projects.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or managing PSHE initiatives or extra-curricular activities.
  • Additional subject teaching experience.
  • Experience with mental health and well-being programmes.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
