The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PSHE Teacher to join our dynamic department and support students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. This role offers the chance to lead new initiatives and contribute to the school’s thriving extra-curricular programmes, making a real difference in student well-being and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PSHE lessons that engage and inspire students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Support the development and implementation of new PSHE initiatives and curriculum enhancements.
- Lead and manage extra-curricular activities, including the “Change Your Mind” ambassadors programme.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and impactful PSHE programme across the school.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, promoting positive mental health and well-being.
- Work with senior leaders to ensure alignment with the school’s vision and educational goals.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed.
- Contribute to staff development and training within the PSHE department.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant PSHE experience.
- Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative in new projects.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or managing PSHE initiatives or extra-curricular activities.
- Additional subject teaching experience.
- Experience with mental health and well-being programmes.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
