The Opportunity:
As a Lead Practitioner in Real World Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how learning is connected to the real world and enhancing students’ agency and enterprise skills. This is an opportunity to lead and inspire across the school, working with departments to integrate Real World Learning and Project Based Learning into the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Real World Learning initiatives across the school curriculum.
- Collaborate with departments to integrate Project Based Learning into existing courses.
- Support and mentor colleagues in enhancing their teaching practices.
- Design and deliver innovative learning experiences that connect classroom learning with real-world applications.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s enterprise and computing curriculum.
- Promote student agency and independent learning through meaningful, hands-on projects.
- Engage with the wider school community to build partnerships that support real-world learning opportunities.
- Participate in curriculum planning and review processes to ensure alignment with the school’s educational philosophy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Computing or Enterprise.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Experience in delivering Real World Learning or Project Based Learning.
- Commitment to student agency and enterprise development.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues across the school.
Preferred
- Experience with the Trivium approach to education.
- Background in curriculum design and development.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching tools and technologies.
- Experience in leading or supporting professional learning communities.
