The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated IT and Business Teacher to join our team and help shape the future of our students. This role offers the chance to teach at both KS3 and KS4, while contributing to a vibrant and inclusive school community. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about delivering high-quality education and fostering a love of learning in students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach IT and Business at KS3 and KS4, ensuring students make good progress and enjoy their learning.
- Create and maintain a disciplined and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Monitor and support student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work, assessments, and teaching resources.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development and improvements.
- Attend evening meetings, parent consultations, and other events as required.
- Ensure compliance with examination regulations and Teachers’ Standards.
- Support the well-being of students through form tutoring and other pastoral duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong knowledge of IT and Business curriculum and examination specifications.
- Experience teaching IT and Business at KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to create a safe and effective learning environment.
- Commitment to student progress and well-being.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with health and safety regulations in a school setting.
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching resources.
- Experience in contributing to examination papers and marking.
- Leadership or mentoring experience within an educational setting.
